HOT FOR WOMEN?

Title: THE GIRLS CLUB
Publisher: Lulu
Page count: 280
Genre: Lesbian/Thriller/Intrigue
Author: Jackie Coupe
Country: United Kingdom
The novel follows a British girls exploits upon moving to the sunshine state of Los Angeles in search of a better life with better prospects. She hopes to find the freedom to explore emotions long held in check and her latent gay feelings.
In what is a very ordinary scenario the most inexplicable things begin to happen. So much so that the main character not only delves deep into self exploration with her new found lease of life, but gets involved in something very dark and sinister.
The ‘L word’ meets ‘Goodfellas’
The Mafia with PMS.
The story isn’t just about gay women having sex and relationships. There are things behind the scenes. Murder and mutilation. A dint in the sheen of perfection of the place she has found herself. A story with substance. There is more than one wrong turn in it to keep you guessing.
This is a novel that will not only appeal to gay readers. Anyone who is looking for a book with more than the average amount of twists and turns may indeed also find it a worthy read.
Erotic horror writer J L DAY from Texas has said, ‘One of the best things, so far, that I have read in years and years and years. I don't mean just online, either. I mean by ANYone!’
The book comes from the already established author of WITNESS: THE WHITE VOLUME and WITNESS: THE BLACK VOLUME as well as the e-published title ‘WALLPAPER’.
This is the first overtly gay novel the writer has produced and it is geared heavily towards the lesbian population who are perhaps tired of ‘romance only’ books that don’t cater with the need to connect with ‘real’ characters in ‘real’ situations. It has caught the attention of ‘A’ list lesbian writer at this point with SAGE SWEETWATER, with her blessings the book has received much attention prior to release.
There are two sample chapters posted at: http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewshortstory.asp - for anyone who would like to peruse of the writers style first. Be advised! This is adult reading matter.
The author has self-published to avoid lengthy delays with publishers rejecting the work because of its content. The writer feels that the reading public should get to decide what they would like to read – not have it dictated to them by publishing houses that won’t touch genre-geared work such as this one.

So.
After all this time a Lesbian pulp thriller. Intrigued much? I bet you are. It's alright to be interested. My first two novels were horror/thrillers. My ebook is suspense/horror. This is another connotation of horror for me, the lesbian/horror/intrigue/suspense/thriller.
Hence the self publish!
Publishers have such a cut and dried view of what they think people want to read.
I think people should have the choice and I think writers shouldn't go unpublished because they cross genres. Real life isn't cut and dried. You don't go to the supermarket anymore and buy just butter.
You can have:
- Reduced fat
- Low salt
- Extra creamy
- With Olive oil
- With pro-biotics
- Best buy or leading brand
Things are rarely of one flavour anymore. Just like people! So with that in mind I say if you are aching for a woman fest that has more to it than a little bump and grind.

I shall be putting up a short story later to share. Anyone who wishes to get in touch, this is the best way:

If you are indeed a publisher who thinks outside of the box, I would be more than happy to hear from you.
